A gun-drilled deep hole provides the following advantages: good hole straightness; excellent surface roughness; hole diameter tolerance of approx. H7 to H9; and eliminating the need for reaming.
Usable in conjunction with dedicated gun drill machines, as well as in general-purpose machines such as machining centers.
Provided with two unique, differently shaped oil holes or a kidney-shaped oil hole to supply sufficient oil to the drilled surface and ensure stable deep hole drilling.
Capable of drilling a wide range of holes sized 0.5 to 51.20 mm in dia. Available in the following three different types: carbide solid type; brazed carbide head type; and indexable type. Wide customization available upon request to meet specific needs, such as chip breaker or coating, and enable more stable deep hole drilling.
